100% agree. We didn't ask for a replacement. Pay if we lose it, pay if we damaged it. Replacement.. No!

It's just a way of making money from the citizens. Where on earth do citizens need to pay for their identity if the government want to change, then the government should bear the full cost and not throwing it to the citizens. So cut the crap that it's already subsidize. There is no such thing as being subsidize. There won't be pride and ownership being a Singaporean if we are to pay for the identity.
