A British woman has died in her hotel room in Ibiza on the party island, sparking a police investigation into the sudden tragedy.

The 33-year-old tourist died in her room at the popular adults-only Ibiza Rocks Hotel in San Antonio last night despite efforts to save her. Local police and paramedics rushed to the hotel on the island when the alarm was raised at around 6.30pm. Emergency responders confirmed the tourist had gone into cardiac arrest and spent around 40 minutes administering CPR, but she was later declared dead at the scene after the efforts to save her life were unsuccessful.
