As a resident writer on the BuzzFeed Shopping team, I can't believe that I get to search the internet to help you find the best, most unique, life-changing products for my job.

1. A wide-brimmed bucket hat with *built-in solar-powered fans* — aka the wearable AC unit you didn’t know you needed. No more melting into the lawn while mowing or questioning your life choices halfway through an outdoor concert this summer. The fabric is made with UPF 50+ (buh-bye, sunburn; hello, full-face and neck coverage), and the fans are rechargeable, giving you plenty of options for staying breezy all day.

www.amazon.com

UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) is a measure of how much UV radiation reaches your skin through a fabric. UPF 50 means it's designed to block 98% of the sun's rays.

Promising reviews: "It was a gift for my dad, and he loved it! Not only is it cooling on a warm day, but it also keeps the bugs out of your face. He lives on a lake and spends time outside, and this was a great way to keep the sun off him and just make it way more comfortable on the dock, in the yard, or out in a boat." —Anna Roon

"Dorky in the best possible way! We use it in Florida while doing yard work. The fans really make a difference! They keep our faces cool and help repel insects. 4/5 stars simply because the solar fans have to be in DIRECT sunlight. Otherwise, they weaken. However, the batteries are very powerful and long-lasting. We accidentally left the fans on for 12 hours. They turned off automatically at some point, but turned on again with no problem. The hat fits my husband's larger head well (24 inches around). There is an adjustment strap, so it fits my smaller head, also. And it is comfortable! The color came as expected, and it does not feel heavy when worn." —Pink Panther

Get it from Amazon for $25.98 (available in 11 colors).

2. A flexible neck cooler that's light, comfy, and condensation-free — because being refreshed shouldn’t mean becoming soggy. It stays cool for up to two hours and is made from a soft elastic that allows it to fit most necks. Whether you're hiking or just taking the subway, this will keep you nice and chill.

www.amazon.com

A lot of reviewers said they bought two so they can always have one ready in the freezer for when the other thaws out. It also comes with a handy insulated bag so that you can take your duplicate on the go!

Our AC was busted for a couple of days last summer. So after writing about these a ton, I got one to try, and found it to be very helpful at keeping me cool for at least an hour or two (depending on how hot it was that day). And to boost the cooling effect, I would also layer with a neck fan, which really upped the icy factor. Then, after we got our AC fixed, I would use it whenever I walked my dog to stay cool. I should have gotten more than one, so I always have one ready to go when the one I'm using melts. I plan to get a couple to keep in the freezer this summer in case there are any power outages or issues with the AC again.

Promising review: "I saw these on TikTok and thought, those might be a gimmick...but honestly they work really well and don't get condensation all over you. I would say on an 80+ degree day, they last a little over an hour. But that is why I purchased two and can switch them out of the fridge. If you live without AC, these are a must. I will definitely be using it all summer long." —Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon for $8.99+ (available in four colors and packs of one or two).

3. ~Or~ a cooling adhesive patch originally meant for migraines, but you can also wear it under your clothes to stay chill without anyone knowing for up to 8 hours — perfect for surviving weddings, work events, or anything involving a suit.

Amazon

Promising review: "I used these under my wedding dress recently because we decided to get married in June…in the desert…and heat. Plus, my dress was several layers, so I was afraid I was going to have a heat stroke from walking across the room. Enter: these patches! I put one vertically on the back of my neck (my half-up hairstyle covered the patch well), one on my lower back, and one on each hip under my chub-rub shorts. They stayed on for the whole 45-minute ceremony, the one-hour photo session after, and the entire four-hour reception, and I was able to regulate my temperature despite all the fabric on my dress. Not the usual use for these, but bride's gotta do what a bride's gotta do, haha." —AmandaG

Plus, it has a soft blurring effect that'll make it seem like your pores vanished, and always have you looking photo-ready.

www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com

Fellow BuzzFeed Shopping writer, Gabriela Manjarrez, knows a thing or two about this beauty gem and says: "Honestly, I don't think TirTir is ever getting rid of me. I have a particularly oily T-zone, and I've noticed that this setting spray truly does help control excess sebum and keeps my forehead from looking like a glazed donut. It also leaves a natural, satin finish with a soft sheen to it, which I LOVE. As someone who is way too lazy for touch-ups when I'm out and about, I appreciate that my glam stays locked👏 in👏 with this."

Promising reviews: "I swear to you, this stuff is magical. My makeup never budges when I use this, and I don’t have to use that much. You can take it off with micellar water pretty easily, but I’m telling you I have ugly cried with this over my makeup, and my makeup stayed. the. same. It’s the best. It also has the nicest bottle; it sprays really evenly over your face, and if it has any flaw, it’s probably that it makes your makeup a little too dewy, but I usually use a little powder over the parts of my face I don’t want to be highlighted, and it works like a gem. Also definitely blurs my makeup very well. 10/10 would recommend!!!!" —Jennifier Moore

"I've fallen in love with this setting spray. It leaves the skin looking fresh, not shiny. It locks in makeup. The nozzle provides a very fine mist. I think it's replaced myUrban Decay All Nighter setting spray." —Michelle

6. A set of cotton and bamboo liners, because a heat wave means two words you hate to see strung together: boob sweat. And LOTS of it. But these sweet angels, that are made with curved edges to better fit around your body, will make sure your fave top stays nice and dry. They absorb all that sweat and dirt buildup, which can protect your bras from stains (and extend their lifespan) — and they do this all while giving your skin a soft, breathable fabric buffer that makes everything less irritating. Honestly, it’s giving “Where has this been all my life?” energy.

www.amazon.com

Promising review: "This is one of those things that I wish I'd found years earlier. I've suffered from mortifying stress-induced under-boob sweat for most of my adult life. Also, I'm a lifelong Seattle girl who gets upset when it's warmer than 65 degrees outside. So when I stumbled upon this product, I was curious enough to buy a small pack. And yes, I've come back for MORE! For real, I won't put on a bra without one of these liners now. It absorbs all the moisture from heat and stress. And because it's a really soft bamboo/cotton mix, my skin is finally not feeling tortured under there! To the makers of this ingenious life-changing product: thank you, thank you, thank you!" —Niko

Well, I ended up with yeast under my breasts, and it gets red and sore. After you shower, dry off really well and apply this cream (a little dab will do ya) under your breasts and say goodbye to the inflammation and soreness. The fabric is sooooo lightweight and silky on your skin. And as a plus girlie, I love that it's super stretchy and adaptive to my body. It is a tad on the sheer side, but if you go to bed with someone, I don't think they'll be mad at that fact (lol). I just probably wouldn't wear it without a bra to pick up the mail, if you know what I mean. And then, you know, anything that's a bottom with pockets is an automatic add-to-cart for me. But that being said, I wouldn't say the pockets are structured enough to carry a ton of stuff or super heavy stuff — like probs just your phone and some lip balm, your AirPods, or a small snack. But love how comfy they are!

Promising review: "I did tons of research before making an evaporative cooler purchase, and I am thrilled that I chose this brand. I live in the High Desert and have a large home evaporative cooler, which I love. However, it doesn't properly duct to my master bedroom, so I was looking for an effective (and cheap) cooling option for the summer months. Enter: the Vagkri cooler. So far, I have been thrilled with this evaporative cooler. What I love most about this unit is that it has a safety feature that automatically switches the pump off (the fan stays on) when the water level is low. So, it can safely be left unattended while sleeping. The design is also easy to use, and it is fillable from the top (albeit slowly), unlike other units. The timer feature is also an added bonus when I don't want it to stay on all night. I also reached out to Vagkri customer service to inquire about their two-year warranty and received a quick response. I couldn't be happier with the unit thus far!" —Dana Gerritsen

25. A fun iridescent windshield cover for anyone who's tired of feeling like they just stepped into an oven instead of their car (especially on a really hot day 🥵), but still wants to keep it cute. This dual-layer, foldable sunshade not only reflects heat and blocks UV rays from damaging your seats or your dash, but it'll also get you on the road faster because you won't have to spend 5 minutes waiting for your steering wheel to cool down.

www.amazon.com

Promising review: "This is cute and exactly what I wanted — subtle and durable! It's not as 'bright' as the picture shows, however, I find that even better because it's still iridescent but not tacky. Height-wise, it fit my 2024 Kia K5 GT perfectly, and I just dropped the sun visors down to hold it in place. The mirror cutout is also perfect. The only 'issue' is that it's just a tad much on the length, but it's not a deal breaker. I WFH and my car sits in the driveway all day, getting beat by the sun, so this is great to not only keep me from burning my chicken legs (leather seats, IYKYK) but also to keep my dash from fading and steering wheel from peeling! Get it! 😊" —gabygirlxo

Get it from Amazon for $24.50 (available in four styles).

www.amazon.com

Promising review: "I got tired of coming out into the heat and barely being able to hold my steering wheel. This handles the heat well. The feel of the material is good, and it fits snugly as it should. I love the color, and it doesn't look out of place. It does not interfere with the functionality of the steering wheel. The price was very reasonable." —Dianne Collis

Get it from Amazon for $15.99 (available in three sizes and four colors).

27. A pair of chic blackout curtains to keep your bedroom as cool and dark as a meat locker. They don’t just block sunlight — they also seal out heat and UV rays, too. And with a faux-linen texture, you'll be able to keep your room chill and cute.

These curtains will also help to keep your room warm in the wintertime.

Promising review: "These curtains check all the boxes. They block out light completely, which is exactly what we needed for our bedroom, and they look way more expensive than they are. The natural linen texture gives them a cozy, elevated look that works perfectly in our space. If you're looking for blackout curtains that actually do the job while still looking stylish and affordable, these are a great find." —Mic

Best of all, you can control it via app and program it to match your schedule. Just make sure it can properly fit your vent opening.

Promising review: "This supplemental vent was definitely a great investment. Bought it in May 2024, and it is still going strong in July 2025. The app was easy to install and navigate. No hidden fees or anything like that. I like that it is flush and smooth to the floor, also has a nice look to it. The fan can get pretty loud if you set it to the Max setting. The app itself is Bluetoothed to your phone and very simple, as in the settings can be changed anytime, very easy to set to kick on around the time your AC or furnace turns on. I also feel like it does a great job "pulling" that remaining heat in the winter and cool air in the summertime from our vent systems after each session. (I have it set to run a little longer once my AC/Heat kicks off for that purpose). We use it in our living room, the room I feel is most difficult to keep warm/cool. Would highly recommend if you have a room or areas that could use a "boost" in temp control." —JasonKim Lebeda

29. A tube of absolute sorcery otherwise known as Monistat's Chafe Relief Powder Gel to keep your thighs protected from the worst sensation known to mankind — chafing (eeeeyuuuuuckkkk). I've been using this stuff for literal YEARS and just truly can't get over how they managed to give you that same feel as baby powder, but in a lightweight gel that isn't going to get all over your clothes. Witchcraft, I say! Complete witchcraft (that I pray never stops being conjured up by those genius witches 🧙🙏🏾).

YAAAALLLL! This cream literally changed my life as a lifetime member of the Thick Thigh Posse! It leaves such a silky matte finish between your thighs that feels so divine when wearing shorts or dresses. Trust that I have tried many, many products to beat chafing, and this is by far one of my top faves.

Promising review: "This is the holy grail of no chafing!!! I live by this in the summer, or anytime I have to wear swimsuits, shorts, dresses, or skirts. Goes on easily and does not feel greasy or gross on your thighs. It's unscented, so no strange smells. It also lasts for a long time — lasted all day for a Disney Trip. Best working stuff I have found, works much better than products that are in a deodorant stick style. I will never be without this chafing cream, even my husband has used this!" —aberfitchgr534

"I bike a short distance to work, and I don't usually get sweaty enough to justify a whole shower, but I do want to freshen up some. These are the perfect answer! The packets of 10 are lightweight. They are nicely moist, and each wipe is bigger than a baby wipe, so one is enough to freshen my entire body. The scent is just right: fresh, but not overly strong. I get to my desk at work feeling clean and professional, not worried I stink or that I smell like baby wipes. I will be ordering more!" —Kimberly Sandbulte

Rollr

Rollr is a small biz based in the UK that aims to revolutionize the world of deodorant in a gorgeous and eco-friendly way. And they are also a "de-perspirant" because their special formula utilizes minerals that help to tighten your pores!

Promising review: "This is truly zero waste because the refill packages are made from paper, which can be recycled. The deodorant smells like perfume. It is expensive, but I don’t need to wear perfume now, so it works out cheaper overall. The deodorant is very effective, which is not always the case for “eco” deodorants." —Dawn
