1. An elegant arched floor mirror that'll open up your space in a big, big way. The large reflection and amount of light this generously sized piece can bounce around an area will do wonders for brightening up even the darkest or most cramped-feeling of rooms — and it is so stunning, y’all. That gold frame? Breathtaking!

Walmart

Promising review: “Gorgeous mirror! This mirror is AMAZING!!! I ordered online because it was less expensive than in the store, and it was delivered just fine! Great price and no assembly, just took it right out of the box and placed it in the corner. Wonderful piece, big enough to get a good view of yourself but still fits great in your room! One of my favorite purchases in a long time!!!” —Sharoya

Price: $159 (originally $303.99; available in two colors. Also available in five additional sizes)

2. A bouclé storage ottoman as full of whimsy as it is of... well, whatever you decide to stuff inside it. Its fun, cozy texture and cloud-like silhouette combined with its eminent practicality make it the most perfect piece of furniture ever to exist. Who’s going to be staring at your piles of clutter when a) this thing is around, and b) all your clutter is inside it, anyway?

Walmart

Promising review: “Cute and functional piece. I bought this for my daughter's college dorm room. It is great quality and surprisingly soft to sit on. It has a lot of space inside for storage, and is sturdy. She uses is as a step stool to get up in her lofted bed. It looks super cute too! Great buy.” —melissa

Price: $49.94 (available in five colors)

3. And a fuzzy accent chair to match, because you deserve to have the reading nook or lounge space of your coziest dreams. Once you’ve curled up in it, you might have a hard time convincing yourself to get back out!

4. A roll of stained glass-style window film that’ll transform any window-based eyesore into a thing of pure beauty — whether it’s the window itself, or whatever is outside the window. Is your view the side of a building? Do you have a bunch of way-too-curious passersby looking in all the time? Is the window just kind of... aged? Whatever the issue, this super pretty, super easy-to-apply film can fix that problem, fast.

Walmart

Promising review: “Stained glass without the price! I originally purchased this for a bit of privacy on our side porch. The sun is strong, and I tried one window panel to diffuse the brightness, and it is not only functional, but absolutely gorgeous!” —satisfied

Walmart

Promising review: “Top-notch basket! Hesitate to say how wonderful this basket is for fear I'll have a hard time purchasing in the future! I have used these beautiful baskets several times for gifts that I've filled with plush throws, books, candles, and snacks, and they hold them all and look superb! I also use it for toys in different rooms, and it keeps them tucked away, and you'd never think twice that it's anything but a cute basket. I highly recommend these! They're sturdy, ample in their size, and beautiful!” —Gigi

Your laundry situation becomes a space of calmness and order when you've got something this convenient to stash your dirty clothes in before they go in for the spin cycle — and this thing is incontrovertible evidence of the fact.

Walmart

Promising review: “This works exactly how I hoped it would. The hampers are easily removed with a convenient handle for carrying. I just dump the clothes into the washing machine because it is all presorted, and then place the hamper back in place on the rack. This is a major time saver as far as sorting clothes goes.” —Terri

Price: $35.64 (originally $42.97)

Easy to fold out and equally easy to store, this handy little stepper is a must-have to make the most of your vertical storage — particularly if you, like me, are less than vertically blessed yourself.

Walmart

Promising review: “Step in the right direction! This is a great step ladder to use inside the house. It's not too heavy. I'm only five feet, and I didn't want anything that I couldn't maneuver on my own. It's sturdy enough to hold me, but not too sturdy for me to move around. It also folds up to a pretty small footprint. I love it and highly recommend!” —Rhonda

Walmart

Promising review: “Great set! Nice color and weight! This set is beautiful and surprising for the cost. The weight of the flatware is nice, not too heavy, but definitely not lightweight. It washes beautifully, with a quick wipe it stays spot free. The brushed gold is a nice color, not too yellow, or too light.” —MasMaria

This extender was put at the front of the house below our two-story section, and WOW! Connectivity upstairs is awesome. We can now stream on TVs, run several handheld tablets and game devices, and a desktop computer and printer without a hitch! Moving from one room and one floor to another is no problem! Highly recommend!” —Rhonda

Price: $88

24. Or, a full mesh router system if you’ve got a little more ground to cover. This system uses satellite units to boost your Wi-Fi over a larger area — and believe you me: The difference it makes is palpable.

Walmart

I’ve had an Orbi system in my home for many years now, and at this point, I cannot imagine not having one. I live in a townhouse, so it is extremely vertical — which means the Wi-Fi signal is not always great on the floors on which the modem and router are not. The Orbi totally solves that problem, though: With one satellite unit on each floor, getting good signal is never, ever an issue — something that’s especially important, given that both my spouse and I regularly work from home and require a good internet connection to, uh, do even the most basic aspects of our respective jobs.

Mesh systems like this Orbi one do tend to be a bit more expensive than a single plug-in Wi-Fi extender, but if you’re able to make the investment and you’re in a living situation that could benefit from it, I highly, highly recommend it.

Promising review: “Amazing and easy! Great product, easy to set up, and very efficient and effective.” —lexi

Walmart
