Aiya! Come on! Asking for duit kopi has been happening for more than half a century, and still happening not only at the immigration and custom. Asking for duit kopi is very common and open at Karimun Island, as I personally had experienced when I was in a project for a few years and was there for weekly project visits.

Alamak. This duit kopi is a culture of Malaysia. Corruption is inherent in Malaysians as part of its culture. Best example is Najib, Dr. M, etc. The minions or small fry sees their superior obtain more and bigger duit kopi in billions, so their small duit kopi is nothing in comparison. You will also know that Malaysian traffic police, roadblocks etc can help ignore offences thru duit kopi. Common practice lah. [TIRED][COOL]

This duit kopi situation has been going on from the very beginning. Not only the immigration officers but also most government officials liked cops are involved in such illegal activities.
