Indian chip startup Netrasemi nets $12.9m series A

Kerala-based semiconductor startup Netrasemi has raised 107 crore rupees (US$12.9 million) in a series A funding round.
The investment was led by Zoho Corporation and Unicorn India Ventures.
The funds will support research and development, manufacturing expansion, and marketing.
Netrasemi plans to introduce four system-on-chip (SoC) variants featuring advanced AI and video analytics.
Founded in 2020, Netrasemi focuses on Edge AI semiconductor technology.
The company has developed two Edge-AI chips, the A2000 and R1000, targeted at TSMC’s 12nm technology node.
