Indian dairy firm Dodla acquires Osam Dairy in $31.4m deal

Dodla Dairy, based in South India, has acquired Osam Dairy, a premium dairy brand from Eastern India, for 271 crore rupees (US$31.4 million).

The acquisition grants Dodla Dairy full ownership of Osam Dairy.

This transaction represents one of the first significant takeovers in Eastern India’s dairy sector.

The region is recognized as a high-growth market for dairy consumption, driven by urbanization and economic development.

Outgoing Osam CEO Abhinav Shah said the acquisition would support growth by leveraging Dodla’s operational strengths.
