SHANGHAI – Indonesia’s Jonatan Christie clinched the Badminton Asia Championships crown on April 14, seeing off Li Shifeng in straight games by playing at a quicker tempo to try to exploit the home favourite’s apparent tiredness.

Christie defeated the 24-year-old 21-15, 21-16 in the men’s singles final in the Chinese city of Ningbo.
