MIRI (March 5): The Sessions Court here today sentenced a 33-year-old Indonesian man to four months in prison and two strokes of the cane for entering the country illegally.

Judge Azreena Aziz who meted out the sentence against Herman Katong from Sulawesi, Indonesia, ordered that his jail term begins from the date of arrest, which was on Feb 11 this year.

She also ordered that Herman be referred to the Immigration Department for deportation after completing his sentence.
