Therappai, a mental health tech startup based in Bali, has opened an early access waitlist for its AI-powered video therapy app, scheduled for launch in November 2025.

The company said its platform will offer on-demand video therapy sessions with AI therapists, along with voice- and text-based support, aiming to make mental healthcare more accessible.

A “crisis buddy” feature is planned to detect signs of crisis and alert trusted contacts.

Therappai was founded in 2025 by James Colley, who previously co-founded Whip Around, a fleet management software firm.

The app targets users who face barriers to traditional therapy and will be available globally on iOS and Android.

Early access users will be able to try the service before its wider release.
