Singapore's Changi Airportmay be the World’s Best Airport for 2025, but we are pretty sure having a mushroom farm in the passenger boarding bridge is not the flex anyone is going for.

Yes, mushrooms.

In an Instagram video, Taiwanese influencer Ken Young and his wife, Ivy, were disembarking from their flight when they spotted a small cluster of mushrooms.

“That looks quite cool,” remarked Ken, while Ivy laughed at the bizarre sight.

The damp and warm environment possibly provides the perfect environment for mushrooms to grow in.

That mushrooms are growing in these nooks and crannies suggests that there is a high amount of spores in the air, according to studies.

According to Mayoclinic.org, an enclosed area like the jet bridge, it can trigger attacks and other sorts of respiratory issues.

However, netizens were surprisingly chill about it, saying it can’t be avoided due to Singapore’s tropical humidity.

“It is like, one night your air con is leaking, the next day, BOOM, mushrooms sprout,” read a comment, while another joked, “Lingzhi, anyone?”

Of course, many quickly tagged Changi Airport in the comments.

One netizen hilariously mused: “New Singapore Airlines ‘Book The Cook’ item: Fresh, nature-grown organic mushrooms. Zero carbon footprint… nurtured by footprints.”

No bridge-to-table mushrooms in our Book the Cook meals please, thank you very much.
