PETALING JAYA: A Malaysian has been sentenced to jail by the Irish courts after he was found guilty for sexually assaulting a teenager there.

According to the Irish Times, Amirul Arif Mohd Yunos, a psychiatrist, was sentenced to eight years and six months' jail.

The 38-year-old was working at a mental health clinic for children and teenagers in Clonskeagh, Dublin when the offence was committed last year.
