KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court here was today told that former Felda chairman Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad (pix) solicited RM3 million from Gegasan Abadi Properties Sdn Bhd (GAPSB) in the purchase of Merdeka Palace Hotel & Suites (MPSH) worth RM160 million.

A former member of GAPSB’s board of directors (BOD), Ikhwan Zaidel, 59, said while reading out his witness statement that Mohd Isa asked for the RM3 million through his (Mohd Isa’s) special officer Muhammad Zahid Md Arif.
