JB slapping incident: Man claims trial despite initial guilty plea
A Malaysian man who slapped a non-Muslim man for eating in public during Ramadan has claimed trial in court on Wednesday (March 19).
The 65-year-old man, Abdul Razak Ismail, was charged at the Magistrate's Court in Johor Baru under Section 323 for voluntarily causing hurt to 21-year-old Elijah Ling Zhao Zhong, reported Sin Chew Daily.

Ex-civil servant must think he still weild power even when retired. Who does he think he is? Does he slap his children around when they don't listen? Maybe need to investigate him and his family further for family violence and abuse. Claim what trial, so stupid. Straight and forward case of physical assault. And who gives you the right to check and demand for other's IC. Even plainclothes officer has to show their id before we provide our IC. Just jail the asshole. [TIRED][COOL]
