Tokyo-based satellite maker Axelspace is preparing to go public on the Tokyo Stock Exchange as early as June, according to sources familiar with the situation.

The exchange is expected to approve the company’s IPO later this month.

If successful, Axelspace will become the fifth Japanese space startup to go public in the past two years.
