KUALA LUMPUR: Jelutong MP RSN Rayer has urged authorities to take follow-up action in the case of a 15-year-old disabled student who was a victim of bullying.

At a press conference in Parliament on Monday (Aug 25), Rayer said the student was brought to hospital in an unconscious state.

He also shared photos of the victim, who was a student at a private institution in Hulu Selangor.

"A police report was made on Dec 17 last year," he said.

Rayer said the student had confirmed to his mother that he was beaten and bullied by students of the college, once he had regained consciousness.

Also present at the press conference was the student’s mother.

"Medical records have also confirmed that the student was a victim of sexual abuse. Unfortunately, until today, there has been no follow-up action by the police on the suspects," he said.

Rayer also showed reporters the OKU card of the victim.

He added that the mother of the victim had informed the college of the student’s OKU status.

He called for further action from the Home Ministry and the police in the case.
