While fans were surely shipping Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck in their second chance at love, the two went their separate ways for the second time in August of last year. But as fans continue to wrap their heads around it, is Lopez herself ready to jump back into the dating pool?

In a new interview following the 2025 American Music Awards, which he hosted, Lopez revealed that dating just isn’t something she’s prioritizing right now. It all started when Access Hollywood asked Lopez about a comment Tiffany Haddish made about them going out and finding men together.

“She said that to me, I said ‘Girl, I ain’t looking for no man,'” Lopez responded. “I’m happy right now, I’m not trying to ruin it.”

The subtle dig at Affleck came after Lopez’s showstopping opening number, which included her locking lips with both a male and a female backup dancer.

“Just from that opening number alone, Jenny from the Block got all her steps in for the day and she got all her kisses in,” Haddish said as she took the stage as a presenter. “Save a dancer for me JLo, damn! You ain’t the only one out here single!”

But not only is Lopez taking a break from dating right now, it seems she’s happier than ever.

“I think now I’m much more happy than I was even then,” Lopez told Access Hollywood while looking back at the last time she hosted the AMAs in 2015. “There was so much angst in my work before, ‘We gotta be this, we gotta be that’ and now I just feel like I want to enjoy it and be in the moment.”

Lopez is certainly focusing on her career, too. Her upcoming movie, Kiss of a Spider Woman, premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival and will hit theaters later this year on Oct. 10. She also just recently wrapped her latest rom-com alongside Brett Goldstein, called Office Romance. Following the AMAs, she also announced her new Las Vegas residency, titled “Up All Night,” starting on Dec. 30. We love to see it!
