KOTA KINABALU: Jetama Sdn Bhd, a water concessionaire company, has announced its plans to develop a large-scale solar power (LSS) project at the Babagon Dam in Penampang, marking the first floating solar power initiative in Sabah, Sabah First Info reported.

Jetama CEO Ahmad Naim Uddang said the project is expected to start soon and aims to generate 15 Megawatts (MW) of electricity. This follows the success of their initial solar project in Labuan, which is part of Jetama's mission to redefine water and energy.
