Former chief executive officer (CEO) of 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), Datuk Shahrol Azral Ibrahim Halmi told the High Court here today that fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho or Jho Low (picture) acted as consigliere to Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

Shahrol Azral, 49, described Jho Low as the “Consigliere”, an Italian word described by Merriam-Webster dictionary as “a person who serves as an adviser or counsellor to the leader of a criminal organisation”.
