JioHotstar, the streaming service of JioStar, will launch in Singapore on September 2 with more than 160,000 hours of films, TV shows, originals, and live channels in more than 12 Asian languages.
The launch marks JioStar’s overseas push after the Indian media joint venture was formed through a Reliance-Disney transaction.
Subscribers in Singapore will get programming from JioStar channels, including Star Plus, Colors, Star Vijay, and Asianet.
Starting September 6, viewers can also vote live across every edition of Bigg Boss available on the platform.
JioHotstar will offer a quarterly plan for S$29.98 (US$24) and an annual plan for S$69.98 (US$55).
Existing Hotstar subscribers in Singapore can switch to the service using their current login details. The platform also uses Hotstar’s existing web domain.
