Josh Hartnett has confirmed he welcomed his third child with Tamsin Egerton a year ago.

The Pearl Harbour star has kept his personal life out of the spotlight since backing away from his status as a Hollywood leading man in the noughties. 

However, the 42-year-old confirmed the arrival of his and Tamsin’s third child in an interview with Mr Porter, with the magazine stating that their one-year-old child was born at the end of 2019.

When asked whether there were projects he was particularly proud of in his career, Josh said: ‘There are, but the thing I am most proud of is that I’m a father of three and I have a good relationship with my partner and a great family life and I’m still able to do good work and, as I’ve got older, the characters have become more interesting.’

The actor added that it has been difficult keeping his three kids, aged five, three and one, entertained during the pandemic.

Josh said: ‘We’ve been trying to keep them occupied as best we can, but it’s a lot of work and it takes both of us all day and by the end of it all we want to do is reach for a bottle of wine and go to sleep.’
