The custody battle between Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson is heating up.

Shortly after the Dawson’s Creek alum filed a motion requesting an emergency custody order modification of their daughter Juno on May 30, E! News first reported, Turner-Smith is fighting back. On herInstagram Story, the actress posted a collage of Disney villains who pretended to be nice at first, including Prince Hans in Frozen and Lotso from Toy Story 3.

“Why don’t you like that person? They seem so nice,” the text above the picture reads. “You know who else seemed to be nice?”

Turner-Smith then wrote on top of the photo, writing, “Stay safe out there.”

According to legal documents obtained by People, Jackson’s motion on May 30 alleges that his ex-wife, whom he was married to for four years from 2019 to 2023, changed their 5-year-old daughter Juno’s school without his permission.

Per the documents, Turner-Smith thinks it’s “no big deal to force Juno to start over with a new school,” but he disagrees. “Jodie is attempting to create a scenario where Juno travels with her rather than attending a traditional school,” the documents state.

According to E! News, Jackson then mentioned his experience with education as a child actor and advocated for a more stable upbringing. “Even in the best case, it cannot begin to provide a child with the same nurturing and enrichment, peer relationships and social skills that a classroom and school community environment provides,” he states.

Now, Jackson is requesting that the court order Juno to keep attending the school she’s been going to for the 2025 – 2026 academic year and is asking for joint consent with Turner-Smith for any subsequent school changes. But, from the looks of it, Turner-Smith isn’t too thrilled to comply.

As a reminder, Jackson and Turner-Smith settled their divorce in May of this year, approximately two years after Turner-Smith filed for divorce. Their custody agreements are still pending.
