Jude Law has finally confirmed that he and his wife Phillipa Coan have welcomed their first child together, his sixth overall.

The 47-year-old actor confirmed the exciting news while chatting with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.

‘I’ve been gardening,’ he said casually when asked about what he’s been doing. ‘Oh! And on top of that, I had a baby. So there you go.’

The star discussed his love for wisterias for a little too long before jokingly remembering thathe has a brand new baby.

‘Buried the lede, buried the lede on that one. Congrats, dad! That’s awesome,’ Jimmy laughed.

News broke that behavioural psychologist Phillipa, 33, was pregnant when they were pictured strolling around London in May, and Jude now can’t stop gushing about how ‘wonderful’ the baby is.

‘We feel pretty blessed that we were in a time that we can nest and enjoy each other’s company and every day as it came,’ he continued.

Sherlock Holmes and The Holiday star Jude and Phillipa, 33, were first linked in 2015 when they were seen at the Hay Literary Festival.
