Just close friends hor? After the sexually explicit texts, new leak from Carrie Wong's phone shows... 😳
They would be the local version of Andy Hui and Jacqueline Wong, if they are actually as popular as they think they are, when sexually explicit direct messages between actor Ian Fang and actress Carrie Wong were leaked online.
For those who do not know, since they aren't exactly that popular, that's Carrie Wong on the left and Ian Fang on the right.
Despite both of them being attached to other people, their leaked private conversation was full of sexual innuendo like giving her love bites, having sex at work, and how sleeping with him is so "comfortable".
Other than the suggestive flirting, they were also badmouthing their own colleagues, with Yanxi Palace star Lawrence Wong being criticised heavily by them.
In their texts, they complained about how Lawrence got to where he is now by relying on his looks, connections and luck.
The petty exchange looked especially bad on Wong, showing how two-faced she is, as she was previously quoted gushing about her co-star in interviews.
After the Instagram messages were leaked, both Fang and Wong had apologised for it, but they had claimed that the sexual content was merely jokes between two good friends, if albeit inappropriate and extremely crass.
Wong had also apologised to her co-star Lawrence Wong for badmouthing him. Lawrence had also graciously accepted her apology, sincere or otherwise.
However, just when they thought it was going to blow over, new leaks showed that the explanation of Fang and Wong being merely friends is not the entire truth.
Early this morning, at about 4:35am, influencer Xiaxue posted to her Instagram story that she had received a video of WhatsApp messages from Wong's phone.
The leaked conversation, between Wong and a friend named Gabriel, was relatively tame (read: not sexually explicit) but definitely scandalous.
Xiaxue, however, took down the video later at Wong's request.
Fortunately, screen captures of the video still exist.
The conversation started with Wong telling her friend about how Fang had stayed overnight at her place. She described their interaction to her friend, detailing that Fang "was touching [her] hands and legs".
She later claimed that they "still didn't do anything", like it was something worthy of praise.
As Wong still lives with her parents, who were in the dark about Fang's relationship status, she also admitted that her own father had questioned her about her "situation with Ian".
He also reminded her about her own boyfriend, Boris Lin, as would any sensible parent. According to her, her parents did not know that Fang was attached, otherwise they would kill her.
Although, after the news broke, they would probably realised that they have been lied to.
She also confided that "becks", the girl whom Fang is attached to, "is so nice" and doesn't deserve this, indirectly admitting that she knew she was doing something wrong with Fang.
She went on to further incriminate herself, talking about how she knew she had to get out of this situation that she was clearly the third party in, but didn't know how to. Her reason was that she really missed Fang and really wanted to spend time with him.
Wong further went on to discuss how she would have spent the night at Fang's place, if he had suggested it.
According to her, Fang did not suggest his place as his girlfriend's things are at his place, to which she had quite angrily retorted that her boyfriend's things are also in her room.
Despite claiming to struggle morally, she also confessed that "[she] still feel f***ing jealous one."
While both Fang and Wong had clearly denied any sexual relations, it is also clear from the new leak that there had been certain hanky panky going on.
As Wong had made clear in her texts, she had strayed emotionally, at the very least.
After the leaked video of Wong's WhatsApp messages was posted to Xiaxue's Instagram story, Wong had asked Xiaxue to remove the video. The head of The Celebrity Agency (TCA) Ivy Low, had also released a statement to AsiaOne, saying that, "Carrie Wong and Ian Fang have sought legal advice and made police reports about the leak and exposure of their private messages."
After the initial leak, Wong had limited comments on her Instagram to prevent netizens from posting negative comments. She did, however, post a photo with co-star Lawrence Wong, whom she had badmouthed. In the caption, she thanked him for being the bigger person and apologised again.
In the comments, her boyfriend had also posted a message of support for her.
However, that was before the leaked video of her WhatsApp messages, in which she had confessed to being a little more than just close friends with Ian Fang.
As for Fang's rumoured girlfriend, actress Rebecca Lim, she had merely removed everyone whom she had followed on Instagram.
Classy.
However, other celebrities have spoken up in support of her.
Celebrity hairstylist David Gan posted a photo with her, complete with a supportive message about making lemonade when life gives her lemon.
In the comments, celebrity Joanne Peh also posted her support, saying that Lim should bleach out all the "horrible ugly yellow spots".
Queen of Caldecott, Zoe Tay, was also among Lim's supporters.
In the comments section, various celebrities also posted their agreement to Tay's post.
Since TCA has already released a statement, it is safe to presume that Carrie Wong and Ian Fang would not be releasing their own statements about how they are just close friends.
...because this new leak, really shows that they are just close friends only hor.
