KKR in talks to buy Singapore data center firm in $5b deal

KKR & Co. is in advanced talks to acquire ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC), potentially valuing the Singapore-based operator at over US$5 billion, according to sources.
KKR currently owns a 14.1% stake in the company.
A deal with ST Telemedia Pte, the parent firm, could be finalized in the coming weeks, though talks may still face delays or fall through.
STT GDC operates more than 100 data centers across 20 major markets, including India, South Korea, Japan, and Malaysia.
It also has facilities in Europe and offers services such as colocation, connectivity, and support solutions.
Both KKR and STT GDC declined to comment.
