Kate Torralba is set to take the stage in Mexico City for the debut edition of MUSICMEX, a new international music showcase happening on 19 June at Jardin Jacarandas.

The Filipino singer-songwriter and creative multi-hyphenate will represent the Philippines at the festival, which champions global collaboration and celebrates diverse talent across borders.

“I’m so psyched to finally experience the Mexican music scene, and so lucky to represent my country,” Kate shared. “No set is ever the same because every crowd is different.”

Known for her introspective debut Long Overdue, Torralba is currently working on her much-anticipated second album, due in late 2025. Her set at MUSICMEX promises an immersive blend of music and storytelling—hallmarks of her unique stage presence.

Also joining the Philippine delegation are MC Galang and Ian Urrutia of The Rest Is Noise PH, who will speak at the panel Cultural Rhythms: Expanding Mexican Music to Southeast Asia.
