South Korean actor Kwak Si-yang and Jiae from the K-pop group Lovelyz will be tying the knot on Nov 28.

Si-yang's agency 9ato Entertainment said on Thursday (Sept 3): "The two have decided to spend their future together based on their deep trust and love for each other."

Jiae's KPlus Holdings agency also announced the news with a similar statement.

The couple have reportedly been dating for about a year, and the wedding is said to be held privately with only their loved ones in attendance.

They also posted handwritten letters on their individual Instagram accounts.

Si-yang, who has starred in K-dramas such as Oh My Ghost (2015), Fight For My Way (2017) and My Dearest Nemesis (2025), addressed his fans: "You likely heard the news through articles today, and I have given much thought to how to convey this news…

"I have found someone precious whom I want to spend the rest of my life with. Based on our trust and love for each other, we have promised to walk through life together. We hope to build a warm family, supporting each other through difficult times and sharing laughter in happy moments."

The 39-year-old thanked his fans and promised to stay active as an actor after they marry. "I will work hard to show you a more mature side of myself as I start a family, as well as good projects and performances as an actor."

Jiae, who's full name is Yoo Ji-ae, was sorry to her fans who found out the news through reports.

"I imagine you must have been very surprised by the news shared today. I have found someone I want to cherish and rely on, someone with whom I wish to spend the rest of my life…

"Above all, I apologise to all of you who have watched over and supported me for so long for having to hear this news through a news article. Since this is such a precious story to me, I wanted to share it with more care, but I failed to do so, and my heart feels heavy."

The 33-year-old, who made her K-pop debut in 2014, expressed gratitude towards them for staying by her side through ups and downs.

"I believe it is thanks to your support that I have been able to keep walking forward until now. That is why I know you must be very surprised by this news as well, but I would be truly happy if you could warmly celebrate my new beginning…

"I will continue to show you my unwavering dedication and hard work!"
