Lahad Datu district police chief's teen daughter dies from gunshot

KOTA KINABALU: The daughter of the Lahad Datu district police chief died after using her father's pistol at their home in Taman Tabanak, Lahad Datu, today.
The 14-year-old victim was found in a room in their house at 12.42pm.
It is understood that at the time of the incident, the Lahad Datu police chief, Assistant Commissioner Dzulbaharin Ismail, was at his office at the district police headquarters.
