Lanzarote panic as resort town on popular Canary Island slapped with beach closure
Local authorities in Lanzarote have closed a popular beach, Los Pocillos Beach in the resort town of Puerto del Carmen, after E.coli bacteria was detected in the seawater.
The beach, located behind the Los Jameos Playa Hotel, has been marked with a red flag warning people to stay away.
