Leah Remini Reveals Where She Stands With Jennifer Lopez
Leah Remini has her pal's support in her second act.
The King of Queens alum revealed that she and her longtime friend Jennifer Lopez remain on good terms, exchanging sweet messages after her 2024 split from husband Angelo Pagán following 21 years of marriage.
"Right after the divorce," Leah told Us Weekly in an interview published June 4, "we’d text each other loving messages of support."
And while the Saved by the Bell alum—who finalized her divorce from Angelo in October of last year—may not keep in touch with Jennifer on a daily basis, she insisted that doesn't mean they don't care about each other.
“Sometimes you don’t talk to people every day like you used to, but that doesn’t mean the love is lost,” Leah explained. “Friendships ebb and flow. That doesn’t mean we’re at odds.”
After all, she and Jennifer—who similarly finalized her divorce from ex Ben Affleck in January following two years of marriage—haven't always been on the same journey at the same time.
“I cherish my friendships and not everybody is meant to be in your life in the way that they were," Leah continued. "When you grow out of that person that you were, that doesn’t mean that you are at odds with them."
Noting that she has several other friends who she only catches up with every so often, she added, "That doesn’t mean we’re at odds—it’s just that I’m at a different place and so are they.”
Speculation of a possible feud between Leah and Jennifer—who hit it off after meeting at an industry event in 2004—first sparked back in 2022, when Leah was not in attendance at the "Get Right" singer's nuptials to Ben. However, shortly after, multiple reports shut the rumor down, saying that Leah only skipped Jennifer's big day to move her and Angelo's 20-year-old daughter Sofia Pagan into college.
And while the Second Act costars never publicly addressed speculation of a falling out, Jennifer has previously provided insight into what makes their friendship work so well.
"Leah makes me laugh like nobody else," the Hustlers star told E! News in 2018. "And she also at times is the biggest strength that I've had in some of my toughest points in my life."
