PETALING JAYA: Young Malaysian diver Lee Yiat Qing can look forward to her first World Championships with plenty of optimism after splashing to her first gold medal in the South-East Asia (SEA) Championships in Singapore.

The 17-year-old Yiat Qing held off a strong challenge from her Bukit Jalil Sports School teammate Nurul Farisya Alia Affendi to win the girls’ 16-18 platform event with a total of 338.15 points.
