This year’s theme, “Do You See Me?”, invites you to dive into the rich tapestry of identities and perspectives that shape our communities. Oh, and it’s also Singapore’s 60th birthday and the Gallery’s 10th anniversary, so you just know this year’s celebration will be extra special!

Taking centre stage on the Padang is Through the Tropical Rainforest by Han Sai Por. Her six colossal sculptural forms, resembling tropical palms, bring her signature style of organic forms to life. A poetic commentary on the harmony and friction between nature and urban life, it’s definitely a bold statement to make.

And, of course, the projection mapping showcased on the Art Skins on Monuments, has always been a festival favourite. Honoring the works of the late printmaker and Cultural Medallion recipient Chng Seok Tin, painter and Cultural Medallion recipient Goh Beng Kwan, and the late batik artist Jaafar Latiff: the iconic monuments come to life.

It’s a visual feast curated with ARAFURA, an Indonesian multimedia design studio, marking the Gallery’s first-ever collaboration with the estates of these legendary artists.
