A prospective transfer for Manchester United’s Paul Pogba to Paris Saint-Germain this summer now looks “extremely difficult”, according to one respected analyst.Pogba is out of contract next summer. United are locked in talks with the player and his agent over extending that deal. There appears to have been no headway made on that agreement so far, despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claiming talks with Pogba have been “all positive”.Of course United are in danger of losing Pogba for free, exactly 10 years after he first left Old Trafford for Juventus. United then paid £89m to bring the midfielder back to the club in 2016.His time though back at the club has been tumultuous. And his notorious agent Mino Raiola has been vocal over the 28-year-old’s future. Raiola outlined his intention to engineer a transfer for Pogba in an interview with Tuttosport in December. The Italian insisted Pogba was “unhappy”. Pogba though quickly tried to set the record straight and claimed he was “1000 per cent involved” at United. Reports of a move to PSG though have continued to keep coming this summer. The Daily Mail reported that Raiola had opened talks over personal terms with PSG.Furthermore, Raiola already has as several clients in the French capital.Gianluigi Donnarumma, Alphonse Areola, Marco Verratti and Moise Kean are all his clients. But Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol now thinks Lionel Messi’s potential move to Paris has put the stops on Pogba’s switch.“PSG have already signed Achraf Hakim from Inter Milan this summer for 60m. And they have given big contracts to three players who were free agents – Gianluigi Donnarumma, Sergio Ramos and Georginio Wijnaldum.“They remain in talks with Kylian Mbappe about a contract extension – his current deal runs out next summer.Subscribe for free to TEAMtalk’s daily newsletter…“PSG signing Messi would make it extremely difficult for them to be able to afford to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United this summer.“Any deal for Messi would be good news for Amazon who have signed a 275m-a-year domestic deal to show 304 live Ligue 1 matches a season.“Any deal for Messi would also be a huge boost for Qatar as it prepares to host the World Cup next year,” said Solhekol.A number of sources, including the Daily Telegraph, have claimed PSG are to offer Messi a two-year contract.Talks opened late on Thursday evening within hours of Barcelona announcing Messis exit.A meeting is now scheduled to take place on Saturday between Messis father and representative Jorge and the PSG board.PSG, backed by their Qatari owners, are confident they can balance their books by selling players.Despite PSGs wage bill being 414m in 2019/20 they are intent on signing Messi without breaking FFP rules.READ MORE: Barcelona team-mate who screwed Lionel Messi posts farewell message
