For those who frequent Marina Square, you may be familiar with its iconic balloon exhibition that takes place every year during the March holidays. For the uninitiated, this is no mini pop-up — the extravaganza sees some awe-inspiring larger-than-life balloon sculptures. After a three-year hiatus, Singapore’s largest balloon display returns with a brand new theme — Surf’s Up in Paradise!

This year, Marina Square’s atrium transforms into a 30m-long Hawaiian-themed beachscape with picturesque waves (perfect for that IG-worthy photo) and gigantic sea creatures like dolphins, sharks, and crustaceans. The most amazing part? These are all made with a whopping 180,130 balloons that are completely biodegradable, and entrance is free for all.

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Maybe not you, but this is your chance to pay the 13m-tall Pineapple House a visit. Don’t miss the spectacular glow-in-the-dark balloons hidden within its walls — the neon vibes are bound to be lit.

If you’re feeling adventurous, check out the wave surfer simulator that costs just S$5 per ride (for up to four minutes). Challenge your friends to see who has the best sea legs — or if you’re looking for a bigger challenge, you can join their TikTok competition to get the most likes on your video and walk away with a brand new pair of AirPods Pro! Do note that the simulator is only available Mondays to Thursdays from 2 to 8pm, and Fridays to Sundays from 1 to 9pm.

Alternatively, you can also try your hand at the dart balloon game booth that has attractive prizes to be won — think Timezone gift cards worth S$20, food vouchers, toys and so much more. The game only costs S$5 if you have a shopping receipt of S$20 from the mall and promises to be sure-win, so I’d say it’s pretty worth trying out!

Feeling peckish after all that fun? Head over to the Tiki Bar for exclusive discounts on selected F&B outlets within the mall, like Victoria Sea Salt Coffee at just S$3.50 (U.P. S$5), Single Scoop ice cream at S$2.90 (U.P. S$4.90), and more. These promo codes are limited in quantity, so be sure to grab them ASAP.
