KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has detained 44 individuals including 32 Road Transport Department (RTD) officers in a major operation in five states yesterday, believed to be in connection with the lorry driver protection racket.

Also detained was a traffic police personnel, a former traffic police personnel and 10 civilians.
