When you think of iconic hawker centres in Singapore, several come to mind, like Maxwell Food Centre, Tiong Bahru Market, Newton Food Centre, and Lau Pa Sat, just to name a few. Unfortunately, the last one on that list sometimes gets flak, which, according to one Redditor, it doesn’t deserve.

In a post titled "Why are people so against Lau Pa Sat?", the Malaysian OP, who has been permanently residing in Singapore for two decades, wrote: "Having travelled to about 48 countries across the world, and lived in several, I feel that Lau Pa Sat is a clean, nicely renovated, fun spot full of history."
