Three Arrested in Connection with Supermarket Theft in HarbourFront

The Singapore Police Force has apprehended a 26-year-old man and two women, aged 22 and 31, for their suspected involvement in a theft incident at a supermarket located at 1 HarbourFront Walk. The arrests were made following a report received on April 24, 2025, around 10:35 AM, regarding the alleged theft of several tins of milk powder.

Details of the Theft Incident

According to the police report, the supermarket reported that multiple tins of milk powder had been stolen. Following the report, officers from the Clementi Police Division conducted ground inquiries and utilized CCTV footage to identify the suspects. Their investigative efforts led to the successful arrest of the trio on April 25, 2025. In total, 71 tins of milk powder, valued at approximately S$4,000, were recovered during the operation.

Legal Proceedings

The three suspects are scheduled to face charges in court on April 26, 2025, under Section 380 in conjunction with Section 34 of the Penal Code 1871, which pertains to theft in dwelling with common intention. This offense carries serious penalties, including a potential imprisonment term of up to seven years and a fine.
