SINGAPORE: A domestic helper from Myanmar went on trial on Tuesday (Nov 9) for murdering her employer's 70-year-old mother-in-law about a month into her employment in Singapore.
Zin Mar Nwe allegedly stabbed the elderly woman 26 times with a knife as the victim watched television at home, after the victim said she would be sent back to her agent.
The court heard that Zin Mar Nwe arrived in Singapore on Jan 5, 2018, and her passport reflected her age as 23 at the time.

We all can only hear what The Maid says how u can beilve all this not all employees are bad ! I am sure camera is there if she was badly treated why she never complain to argent or went back to get help from poilce ? I honestly feel we should not only one person even maids are not easy to handle this days keep one and see u will know ? Don’t like them sent to agent simple don’t waste your time with them ? Any way hope the court will give justice that’s all don’t take side that all

All employers should treat maid as a human, wages are Low and do not let maids over work, best treat them as a family, I had maid since the 80s never encounter any maid with problems

Mental instability due to stress. Must highlight a health assessment by the employer themselves to ensure that they are still in mentally and physically fit to work.
