KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's government has no plans for now to re-submit the 2026 budget to parliament, a senior official said on Wednesday.

Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, government spokesperson and communications minister, confirmed at a regular briefing that all ministries had received a notification from the finance ministry to review their operating expenditure.

He added that state energy firm Petronas had confirmed there were sufficient energy supplies for May and June, but possible shortages of some fuels were expected after that. - Reuters
