TNG Digital, the Malaysia-based operator of TNG eWallet, said on August 21 that Jabatan Tenaga Kerja Sarawak recognized the app as an alternative salary payment method.

The recognition completes what TNG Digital described as nationwide recognition from labor authorities across Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Sarawak.

TNG Digital said the recognition lets employers across Malaysia use TNG eWallet to disburse wages, including to workers without bank accounts or those who face barriers to traditional banking.

Chief executive Alan Ni said more than 500,000 users nationwide receive wages through the app, with more than 5.7 billion ringgit (US$1.41 billion) in wages disbursed in 2026.

TNG Digital is listed by Bank Negara Malaysia as a regulated entity.
