Malaysia suffer first defeat in Group D after losing 0-2 to Oman

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia suffered their first loss in Group D of their 2026 World Cup/2027 Asia Cup Qualifiers after going down 0-2 to Oman at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat, this morning.
The loss saw Malaysia, playing under the tutelage of South Korean coach Kim Pan Gon and leading Group D, relegated to third spot in the group on goal difference but level on six points with leader Oman and Kyrgyzstan.
