Manchester United and Tottenham have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Noni Madueke after the winger signed a new four-year deal with PSV Eindhoven.Madueke is a talented 19-year-old who represents England U21 internationally.He played for Crystal Palace and Spurs as a youngster before joining PSV on a free transfer three years ago.One signing each Championship club must make this weekOver the weekend, reports emerged stating that United and Spurs chiefs had sent scouts to watch Madueke in action.They were joined by officials from a number of European sides, including Bayern Munich and Juventus, as well as Leicester. It was also written that PSV’s asking price is £30-34million.All interested parties may now have to wait before they can secure the attacker’s signature.He has penned a new deal at the Philips Stadium which will keep him in the Eredivisie until June 2025.After agreeing to his last contract in 2020, Madueke said: “That was a special moment, of course.“Ever since I’ve been here, I’ve noticed from everything that this is the best place to develop. I therefore did not hesitate for a moment to stay here longer.”When asked about his new deal, the starlet added: “I have felt at home at PSV from day one. We are going to make it a great time together in Eindhoven, with wonderful football evenings.”PSV director John de Jong said: “There was a lot of interest from foreign clubs in Noni, but we wanted to connect Noni to PSV even longer. After good talks with Noni and his family, he succeeded in extending his contract until 2025.“As a club, we are very happy that Noni will stay and we look forward to a successful collaboration.”Madueke has appeared 45 times for PSV’s first team in all competitions, scoring 15 goals and laying on nine assists.Last term, he managed seven goals and six assists in the league as PSV finished second in the table, behind rivals Ajax.Elsewhere, PSG chief Leonardo Araujo has slammed Real Madrid for their ‘illegal’ pursuit of Kylian Mbappe.“Real have behaved like this for two years,” he said. “It is wrong, illegal even as they have contacted the player. It is unacceptable for us, because it is not right.“We dont foresee speaking again with Real.”
