A widower has won a whopping £2.5 million house in a raffle and says he is one of the "luckiest men in Scotland."

Grant Carson, 58, was diagnosed with arthritis as a child and says his countryside home in the Lake District will finally allow him to get a dog.

He has been living in a three-bedroom semi-detached house in Glasgow, but will soon swap this for a five-bedroom, 18th-century farmhouse a short way away from Lake Windermere.
