Marsiling HDB flats' acquisition: Little to no top-ups for new replacement flats

SINGAPORE - Home owners in the nine Housing Board blocks in Marsiling that are set to be acquired by the Government will need little to no top-ups for new replacement units if they pick the same flat type - though they will have to settle for a smaller floor area.
It was announced last month that Blocks 210 to 218 in Marsiling Crescent and Marsiling Lane will make way for an expansion of Woodlands Checkpoint.

HDB should not request homeowners to top up the cash portion if they acquired the flats and the floor area will be even smaller, thus HDB should get the homeowners to pick an unit without top-up as this is fairer.
