Maxis continues Goh Seow Eng's tenure as CEO

today has continued Goh Seow Eng’s tenure as its chief executive officer (CEO).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said Goh has helmed the position since Dec 1, 2022.

Maxis said he brings regional leadership experience and previously served as president and chief operating officer of Advanced Info Service Plc in Thailand.

He also previously served as Singtel’s managing director of home business in Singapore, where he oversaw the fibre broadband, pay-TV, and fixed-line segments.

"He also led customer life-cycle management and marketing communications for Singtel's consumer division in Singapore,” it said.

Maxis said that prior to joining Singtel in November 2010, he served as Astro

Malaysia’s chief operating officer of consumer group.

"His extensive background in the financial services sector includes heading various corporate and consumer banking units at Citibank in London, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, and Tokyo, as well as leading credit card marketing for Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco,” it said.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania.

He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley and completed the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School.

Maxis said Goh has a direct interest of 1.02 million shares, and deemed interests in a further 3.60 million shares in the group as well as 6,200 Maxis shares held by his spouse pursuant to Section 59(11)(c) of the Companies Act 2016. - Bernama
