SINGAPORE — Mediacorp announced yesterday the top 60 nominees for this year's Star Awards' Most Popular Artistes.

The number of nominees for the coveted Top 10 Most Popular Female and Male Artistes was increased from the usual 40 because last year's awards were cancelled due to the pandemic.

The nominees were identified via a poll of 1,000 people in Singapore conducted by an accredited market research company.

Fans of the celebrities will be able to vote online for the Top 10 Most Popular Female and Male Artistes Awards from 10 March to 18 April.

The annual awards ceremony by Singapore's national broadcaster will be broadcast live on 18 April on Channels 8 and U, and streamed on meWATCH and Mediacorp Entertainment Channel on YouTube.

Best Actor nominees this year include Desmond Tan and Elvin Ng, while Best Actress nominees include Zoe Tay, Felicia Chin and Carrie Wong. A Quest To Heal and A Jungle Survivor, are among the nominees for Best Drama.

The programme will start at 3.30pm with a backstage live commentary with behind-the-scenes updates and interviews with artistes.
