The rapper-turned-pop punk chart topper performed “my ex’s best friend” and “Lonely,” and fell off the stage after trying to lift his tattooed doppelgänger Pete Davidson. Before the episode aired, Machine Gun Kelly tweeted, “I remember when I was a kid watching @nbcsnl every weekend with my aunt and my dad. Since they aren’t here to see this moment, I’m going to perform the song I wrote for them on the show. Hopefully I’ll feel them there.” His girlfriend, actress Megan Fox, was there at Studio 8H, however, and she had high praise for his set.
