Met Police force set to lose 2,000 officers as result of budget cuts

The UK’s largest policeforce is set to slash 2,000 jobs as part of an eye-watering £450million budget cut.

London’s Met Police, which currently employs more than 34,000 officers, might also see 400 civilian staff jobs scrapped as it prepares to slash its annual finances. Some police stations in Londonwill also reduce their opening hours to the public from 9am to 5pm, The Sun reports.
