MetMalaysia: Strong quake hits off northern Sumatra, tremors felt along Malaysia’s west coast
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 27 — A strong 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck off the west coast of Northern Sumatra, Indonesia, at 12.56pm yesterday, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
It said the quake’s epicentre was located at 2.7° north and 95.9° east, at a depth of 57 kilometres.
