Minister calls for thorough investigation into murder of Cyberjaya university student

KUALA LUMPUR: Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh has urged the police to conduct a thorough investigation into the murder of a 20-year-old university student who was found dead at a condominium in Cyberjaya on Tuesday.
In a post on her Facebook page, Yeoh called for those responsible for the murder of Maniishapriet Kaur Akhara to be brought to justice.
She said the loss of a young woman with a promising future was a heartbreaking tragedy.
"I am deeply saddened to receive news of the tragic death of Maniishapriet Kaur Akhara, a university student in Cyberjaya.

"The loss of a young woman who was on the path of academic pursuit and a bright future is a truly heartbreaking tragedy.
"I extend my deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the late Maniishapriet. May they be granted strength and resilience in facing this difficult time," she said.
Police have since arrested three suspects in connection with the case, which is being investigated as murder.
